How this is calculated

Your total cost per unit is product + transport + packaging + labour. To hit a desired margin (profit as a share of the selling price, not of cost), we solve: selling price = total cost ÷ (1 − margin%).

This is an estimate for planning purposes — actual pricing should also account for what competitors charge and what customers will pay.
