Rent Planner
See whether your rent fits the recommended share of your income, how much to save monthly for your next lump-sum payment, and how your rent compares to real prices in your state.
How this is calculated
A common budgeting guideline is that rent shouldn't exceed 30% of your income. We compare your actual annual rent to 30% of your annual income, and work out the monthly amount you'd need to set aside to comfortably cover your next lump-sum rent payment.
This is a general guideline for planning purposes, not financial advice — your own circumstances may justify spending more or less.
